چکیده
he Annual Facility Survey conducted, by HCFA, is the source of all the results presented in this chapter. Note that the data for 1994 are preliminary and may be subject to minor revisions. The facility survey contains summary data on facility characteristics for all Medicare approved dialysis and transplant units reporting patients at the end of the year. The Annual Facility Survey is designed to include most non-Medicare dialysis patients while the USRDS patient database generally does not. (Commencing with Wave I of the DMMS, nonMedicare patients are included in the USRDS Special Studies). ESRD Units: Number and Location

Lessons from 30 years’ data of Korean end-stage renal disease registry, 1985–2015
The Korean Society of Nephrology (KSN) launched a nationwide official survey program about dialysis therapy in 1985. Nowadays, the accumulated data for 30 years by this "Insan Prof. Min Memorial end-stage renal disease (ESRD) Registry" program have been providing the essential information for dialysis clinical practice, academic nephrology research, and health management policy. We reviewed 30 ...

Peritoneal dialysis (PD) is an excellent form of renal replacement therapy for many patients with end-stage renal disease (ESRD). Over 10,000 patients receive PD in the United States [United States Renal Data System: 2015 USRDS Annual Data Report: Epidemiology of Kidney Disease in the United States, 2015]. PD has superior outcomes compared to hemodialysis in the first 2 years of ESRD [Sinnakiro...
متن کاملPre-end-stage renal disease care not associated with dialysis facility neighborhood poverty in the United States.
BACKGROUND Receipt of nephrology care prior to end-stage renal disease (ESRD) is a strong predictor of decreased mortality and morbidity, and neighborhood poverty may influence access to care. Our objective was to examine whether neighborhood poverty is associated with lack of pre-ESRD care at dialysis facilities. METHODS In a multi-level ecological study using geospatially linked 2007-2010 D...
متن کاملEnd-stage renal disease in the United States: an update from the United States Renal Data System.
Patients with ESRD consume a vastly disproportionate amount of financial and human resources. Approximately 0.03% of the US population began renal replacement therapy in 2004, an adjusted incidence rate of 339 per million. Declining incidence rates were observed for most primary causes of ESRD and in most major demographic categories; the worry is that rates of diabetic ESRD continue to rise in...
